Rain Coast Crisps - cc/ Bondar Bubbie

2 C of mixed Flours (flax meal, hemp, soy, whole wheat, rice)
2 t soda
.5 t salt
mix together dry

Then mix 2 C buttermilk or (sour cream and yogart substitute), 2 t Molasses and add to dry

Stirr the following together and add to the previous mix
1 c dried fruit
1 C of mixed nuts (peacans, pumpkin,sunflower
.25 C sessame seed or hempseeds
.25 C flax meal
1 t fresh rosmary or more (or dried)

preheat oven to 350 deg
Spoon batter into 2 4x8 greased loaf tins
45min bake
Cool on rack
Slice using electric knife
Put single layer on cookie sheet and bake 300 deg for 25 min, turning after 10 min
Done!

Another Favorite:
Buckwheat Soda bread
Serve with cheeses and wine and Party!

Pender Island Slide Ride

"Into the 'Flux' and back again with Fez Skala and friends."

It was a twisted holiday adventure full of surprises. From last minute ferry reservations and early morning rising for a DTES pick up, to island beach caos and cartwheels, Pender Island 2007, a trip made annually by most avid disc golfers, was more than just disc.
New relationships were founded, older ones reunited, fun gaming became a past time while comical song cremating around the fire past the night hours. There were even some costumes and surprise whirl pool encounters beyond the 'perimeter'.
So, this year Pender was a success beyond just record breaking disc golf rounds and brought forth a fun weekend gettaway enjoyed by all attendees.
